Syringe Services & Safe Disposal
In 1995, Tapestry opened the first needle exchange in Western Massachusetts in Northampton.
Nearly 30 years later, our Syringe Services Program has grown to serve communities across the region, with stationary sites in Northampton, Chicopee, Springfield, Holyoke, Westfield, and Greenfield.
Can’t make it to a site? We’ll come to you. Harm reduction delivery is available in all towns where we have physical sites, plus Amherst, Belchertown, Montague, South Hadley, and Ludlow, Monday through Friday, based on availability.
Every service is completely free and anonymous. No ID required. No appointment needed.
Anyone 18 and older who uses injectable drugs or needs safe syringe disposal. No ID is required, and no questions need to be answered.
This service is completely anonymous and free.
Tapestry accepts syringe disposal at all Harm Reduction locations during operating hours.
Sharps containers are available to take with you at no cost.
Walk in to any Tapestry Harm Reduction site during operating hours, no appointment needed.

Visits are quick, typically 5 to 15 minutes. Staff will provide the supplies you need and can answer any questions without judgment.
