SERVICES WE PROVIDE

Walk-In Emergency Contraception and safer sex supplies

All Tapestry offices offer emergency contraception medication on a walk-in basis at all our clinic sites. If you or your partner have had unprotected sex and worried about an unintended pregnancy emergency contraception can be taken up to five days (120 hours) after the unprotected sex. The clinic also can offer insertion of an IUD if that is preferred as an emergency contraceptive option.

Condoms, latex barriers and other safer sex supplies are always available on a walk-in basis and are free.

HIV and Pregnancy Testing

Tapestry offers urine pregnancy testing on a walk-in basis at all our clinic sites. These pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy often before a missed period. Clinic staff will help refer you to the care of your choosing if the test is positive. This visit generally takes less than 30 minutes.

Tapestry offers rapid HIV testing by a fingerstick or mouth swab, with results in minutes at all our clinic sites. This test can detect HIV 6-8 weeks after exposure. A confirmatory blood test is provided if the rapid test is positive. This visit generally takes less than 30 minutes.

Gender Affirming Care

Tapestry offers gender-affirming hormone therapy at all our clinic sites to people 18 and older. If you are under 18, we will refer you to other providers who can provide care. Tapestry staff will work with you to develop a treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals of treatment.

Medical Abortions (Northampton)

Medication abortion also known as the “abortion pill” is a safe and effective process in which two different medicines are taken to end a pregnancy. It is available up to 11 weeks (77 days) from the first day of your last period. Depending on your situation, you may also have an ultrasound or blood test.

Tapestry is committed to providing excellent sexual and reproductive healthcare to everyone. We understand that not everyone who gets pregnant is a woman, so we are dedicated to using both gender-inclusive language and a gender-inclusive approach to abortion care. If you have questions or suggestions, please let us know.

Sexual health workshops

In addition to our clinical services, Tapestry offers sexual health workshops to local schools, universities, and community organizations at no cost to you.

Our sexual and reproductive health workshops provide stigma-free, medically accurate, age-appropriate, and inclusive sexual health information to participants of all ages and backgrounds. Tapestry workshops are guided by the principles of comprehensive sex education, ensuring a thoughtful and inclusive approach, without being confined to a specific curriculum.
