Clinician (NP, PA, CNM)- Holyoke, Springfield, Amherst

Join our team and make a difference! Tapestry Health is a non-profit organization servicing Western Massachusetts for 40 years.  We are currently seeking a dynamic candidate to fill the part time position (32 hours a week) of Clinician in our Holyoke, Springfield and Amherst sites.

Duties:

  • Perform routine initial and annual comprehensive exams for female clients
  • Perform STD screens for male clients
  • Review of client’s medical history
  • Order routine laboratory screening tests and additional laboratory tests as described in the protocol
  • Perform lab tests as needed and within scope of practice
  • Perform venipuncture as needed
  • Provide appropriate birth control methods in accordance with Tapestry medical protocols
  • Provide for the assessment and management of sexually transmitted diseases, vaginitis and urinary tract infections in accordance with Tapestry medical protocols
  • Make appropriate referrals to other health care providers for services beyond the scope of Tapestry
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service programs when possible
  • Attend the Medical Concerns Meetings and other pertinent meetings as scheduled
  • Act as medical consultant to staff at the health center
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications:  Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Board Certified.  Demonstrates professional, positive attitude and ability to work with a diverse team.  Ability to serve diverse clientele and carry out administrative duties related to the practice.

Preferred Experience: Bilingual, Spanish.  Background in women’s health and sexual reproductive health

IT and Information Systems Coordinator - Florence

Tapestry Health, a non-profit healthcare agency serving western MA for over 40 years, seeks a full time Information Technology and Information Systems Coordinator to be responsible for all telecommunications and electronic data systems within the agency, including a new system of electronic medical records. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks. S/he will also manage consultants and vendors for the agency's information systems, networks, phone, internet accounts, etc. This position manages and provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources.

Duties:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data management, including the introduction and maintenance of a new Electronic Medical Records system.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data management and computer systems operations
  • Troubleshoot all technology/telecommunications issues
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
  • Control the telecommunications and computer systems budgets and expenditures
  • Meet with coordinators to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
  • Hire and manage telecommunications and information systems as needed
  • Strong familiarity with all hardware and software used at the agency and new technologies available
  • Participate in orientation to new users of existing technology and train staff as needed to use the agency's technology products
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of hardware and software as well as phone systems
  • Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
  • Provide network access to all staff, appropriate consultants and interns
  • Install and configure work stations including the set-up of hardware and installation of software
  • Ensure network and data security
  • Manage telecommunications including ordering and installing equipment and analyzing use
  • Provide written documentation of all IT and MIS related processes
  • Perform other related duties as required

Essential Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or Management of Information Systems (MIS). Master's preferred.
  • Work experience in a non-profit service environment preferred.
  • Candidates must have knowledge of a wide range of computer hardware and software systems and programs, computer networks, network administration and network installation, computer troubleshooting, viruses and security, and e-mail and internet programs
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellence in the following skills: ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks; team building skills, analytical and problem solving skills; effective verbal, written, presentation and listening skills; understand computerized accounting, spreadsheet, word-processing, database, billing and website development programs at a highly proficient level.
  • Ability to write basic code and work within the framework of above mentioned systems a plus.

Staff Accountant for Contracts & Grants - Florence, MA

Join our team and make a difference! Tapestry Health is a non-profit organization servicing Western Massachusetts for 40 years.  We are currently seeking a dynamic candidate to fill the full time position of Staff Accountant for Contracts & Grants in our administrative office located in Florence, MA.

The Staff Accountant for Contracts & Grants reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for the management and oversight of all agency contracts.  She/he works with the controller and other fiscal staff to assure effective, efficient contract oversight.  The Staff Accountant/Contracts & Grants works in accordance with standards and policies established by Tapestry Health and other regulatory bodies to which it is accountable.

Duties: 

  • Submit monthly invoices to applicable funding sources, allocate expenses by program and prepare monthly general ledger journal entries relevant to contract income and expenses.  
  • Prepare contract budgets and amendments as needed for funding sources with assistance from Program Managers and the Controller.  Prepare budget-to-actual tracking reports as needed.  Track contract payments.
  • Serve as a resource for staff, train and cross-train with emphasis on state billing and budget procedures.
  • Assist with the budget preparation for grants.
  • Maintain Contract and computer files with supporting documentation as necessary.
  • Confirm outstanding contract and grant A/Rs on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain effective relations with funders and sub-contractors.
  • Attend UFR, other state training, and accounting software training as made available or necessary to maintain current state regulations and accounting software upgrades.
  • Assist Controller and Senior Staff Accountant as needed with other fiscal duties as directed.  

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:  Candidate must have BS in Accounting or four years bookkeeping experience and knowledge of state/federal contracts and AR/AP/Payroll. Candidate must have extensive familiarity with Windows-based spreadsheet and word processing programs.  Preferred programs: Excel and Word for Windows.  Candidate must be able to make phone calls and carry out typical administrative functions. Candidate needs strong communication skills, the ability to work under time constraints, detail oriented, and support the mission and goals of the agency.

Lead Clinician (NP, PA,CNM) - Florence

Join our team and make a difference! Tapestry Health is a non-profit organization servicing Western Massachusetts for 40 years.  We are currently seeking a dynamic candidate to fill the part time position (20-32 hours per week) of Lead Clinician.  This position will be based out of the administrative offices in Florence with travel to our clinics in Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton, Amherst, Greenfield, and Pittsfield.

The Lead Clinician will perform all the duties of a clinician and collaborates with the Medical Director and the Chief Program Officer to ensure that all health services are high quality and customer oriented.  The lead clinician will provide clinical consultation and on call clinical services.  Conduct clinical peer reviews of clinical staff.  Assist in the development and implementation of clinical protocol and procedures and agency Quality Assurance monitoring and compliance.

Lead Clinician Duties:

  • Perform all duties listed in the clinician job description below.  
  • Provide coverage at sites as neededConduct annual clinical peer reviews for clinicians.
  • Consult regularly with the Medical Director and collaborate on the development and implementation of medical protocols, medical policies & procedures, the drug formulary, quality assurance/quality improvement issues and new medical services and procedure
  • Act as on call medical consultant to all programs within the agency.
  • Plan and conduct in-service training programs for licensed medical staff including the training and orientation of newly hired clinical staff including per-diem staff.  Oversee the training/monitoring of non-clinical staff in performing specimen collection including blood draws
  • Provide leadership and monitoring of the development of special projects and initiatives including implementation of new systems (clinical and administrative), pilot projects, and research projects. As well as the development and on-going implementation of meaningful use of EHR
  • Attend and conduct meetings as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Able to carry out typical administrative functions, computer skills.
  • Supports the mission and goals of the agency.
  • Reliable transportation

Compensation:  $37.00 per hour
