Harm Reduction Outreach Supervisor
40 hours per week
Springfield, MA

We are passionate about providing non-judgmental sexual and reproductive healthcare, needle exchange access, overdose prevention and education, HIV/ AIDS prevention and care, and WIC family nutrition.

Under the direction of the HIV Prevention Program Manager, the Harm Reduction Outreach Supervisor will be responsible for planning and overseeing community outreach.  Additional duties will include serving as the primary driver for the agency’s RV as well as working with the HIV Prevention Program Manager and outreach team to develop and implement an effective outreach schedule that achieves the goals and objectives of the program.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated skills in community education
  • Experience with substance abuse and knowledge of HIV/AID prevention principles
  • Willingness to be trained in blood draws

Bilingual Spanish/English and experience with blood draws is preferred.

 


 

 Clinician (NP, CNM, PA)
5.5 hours per week
Greenfield, MA

As a Clinician (NP,CNM,PA) at Tapestry Health, your focus will be on providing a wide array of reproductive and sexual health care to a diverse clientele. Routine annual comprehensive exams, STI screenings for female and male clients, providing birth control methods, as well as educating clients are some of the duties a Clinician is responsible for at Tapestry Health’s family planning clinics. 

 Minimum Required Qualifications: 

  • Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Board Certified
  • MCSR

 
A background in women’s health and sexual reproductive health is preferred.

 


 

Assistant Director of Harm Reduction Services
40 hours per week

Springfield, MA 

Under the direction of the Director of Harm Reduction Services, the Assistant Director of Harm Reduction Services will manage the operational activities of Tapestry Health’s Harm Reduction Services.  Duties include monitoring multiple budgets, supervision of site managers, ensuring quality service delivery, client satisfaction and maintenance of facilities.

 Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five years of supervisory experience
  • Three years’ experience managing programs in multiple locations
  • Experience with program budgets
  • Excellent writing, organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively
  • Willingness to travel 

 


 

 Substitute Clinician (NP/PA/CNM) - Western MA

 

We are currently seeking Substitute Clinicians (NP, PA, CNM) to fill in at our various sites throughout Western MA. Locations include: Holyoke, Springfield, Northampton, Greenfield and Pittsfield.  Hours, locations and frequency will vary based on need. No minimum required sub hours per month and the ability to travel to all sites is not necessary.  Travel reimbursement is provided.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications: NP/PA/CNM License to practice in the state of Massachusetts, board certified, ability to work with diverse clientele and staff, good interpersonal skills, and a team mentality is a must! At least one year of clinical experience and knowledge of women's health care is required.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour

WIC Intern
Springfield, MA

The WIC nutrition intern gives back to the agency under supervised practice by actively learning and providing routine nutrition services, projects and outreach to WIC participants.

Responsibilities: Conduct anthropometric data, perform dietary and nutritional risk assessment, assign food package prescription, provide nutrition and breastfeeding counseling and education, perform data entry, provide referrals to other services, participate in planning, development and evaluation of education materials, group nutrition education sessions, counseling and education strategies, nutrition in-services and policies, assist in quality assurance, presentations and outreach in the community, other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or graduate of a four-year Bachelor's Degree program in public health, nutrition or nutrition education.
  • Leadership and decision making capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Sensitivity to the needs of the participant population
  • Ability to carry out typical administrative functions and support the vision and goals of the agency.
     

 

Health Services Intern
1 – 5 hours/week
June 1 to August 19, 2016
Greenfield, MA

Health services interns help with maintain a calm and relaxing environment in the clinic by providing support services to clients, clinical and office staff.

Responsibilities: Help maintain orderliness of waiting room, reception area, and exam rooms. Provide administrative support (i.e. reminder calls, filing charts) and assist with special projects. Assist clients within the clinic and refer to clinic staff as appropriate. Provide assistance with other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must have customer service and/or office experience
  • Must have a warm, calm, and personable approach
  • Must strictly adhere to patient privacy policies and must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
  • Must be able to work with a diverse population
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite a plus

 


 

 Needle Exchange Program Volunteer
10 – 20 hours/week
Holyoke and Northampton, MA

Needle Exchange Program Volunteers will learn about harm reduction, overdose prevention, infectious disease prevention, and culture and practices of injection drug users.

Responsibilities: Perform administrative duties (answer phones, greet clients, record data of client encounters); offer supplies and education to clients; help to maintain inventory; data entry; represent the agency at community outreach events; assist with other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Driver's license and reliable transportation
  • support the mission and goals of the agency and program
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to sit at a desk, use a computer and make phone calls
  • able to carry out typical administrative functions
  • Some knowledge of HIV/AIDS and harm reduction principles and practices
  • Some experience with substance abuse
